Frank Schwartz Appointed Executive Director of CCEPA

Eric Schibler, Board Chair, is pleased to announce the appointment of Frank Schwartz, FCMC, as Executive Director of the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Public Affairs.

Frank brings 30 years experience as a management consultant, with a focus on organization development and strategic planning.

He is also an experienced facilitator, having facilitated well over 200 large and small group sessions. He has worked with many organizations in the private, not-for-profit and public sectors developing mission, vision and value statements.

"CCEPA will offer expertise in the area of Ethical Practice for organizations in the public and private sectors and Frank Schwartz brings years of domestic and international consulting experience to the table," says Mr. Eric Schibler, Chair of the CCEPA Board.

"We are delighted with the choice of Executive Director and look forward to great things in our first year of operation."

In addition to practicing throughout Canada, Frank has worked in over 20 countries across North America, Asia, Africa and the Caribbean. His international services have been delivered to the World Bank and to host countries on CIDA- and IFI-sponsored projects.

Prior to joining CCEPA, Frank was a Managing Partner at BearingPoint (formerly KPMG Consulting), a Partner with KPMG LLP, a Partner with The ARA Consulting Group Inc. and President of the DPA Group (International) Inc.

Frank received his BA (Honours Economics and Political Science) at McGill University and completed course work for Ph.D. in Applied Economics at the University of Minnesota. His professional affiliations have included Board Chair of the Downtown Halifax Business Commission, President of the Institute of Certified Management Consultants of Atlantic Canada, and President of the Strategic Leadership Forum’s Atlantic Canada Chapter.

He has been a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) since 1980 and was awarded the FCMC designation in 1990.

The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Public Affairs, which is a joint venture between Saint Mary’s and Atlantic School of Theology (AST), provides an arena for critical thinking, public discussion and research into current ethical challenges in our society. We advance ethical practices in public affairs through five program areas: research; education; information brokering; consultation and training; and, public discussion and awareness.
