UNBF will host the 42nd annual Canadian Undergraduate Physics Conference from Oct. 20 to 24. The event will be held at the Lord Beaverbrook Crown Plaza Hotel in Fredericton. The conference allows an opportunity for students to present the results of undergraduate research projects and is for many, their first professional conference experience. The UNBF Physics Society will host the conference which is held at a different university each year. "It’s a great opportunity for people to come out and see what universities are doing in different areas of physics research," said UNBF’s Aaron Power. "We’re anticipating approximately 350 undergraduate student researchers who will present their findings in their fields of research." The UNBF Physics Society is also seeking corporate sponsors to purchase $100 day registration fees. Those passes would be donated to local high school students interested in attending the conference or to view some of the research first hand.
