University and IOC to announce details of new
music Note

Mike Shannon, vice president of Operations and Engineering with the Iron Ore
Company (IOC) of Canada, together with Dr. Tom Gordon, director of Memorial
University of Newfoundland’s School of Music, will host a news conference at
the Labrador West Arts and Culture Centre on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2006, at 2
p.m.
At the news conference they will announce details of Northern Soundscape, an
exciting new partnership that will deliver cultural and music opportunities
for school-aged students in Labrador West. The innovative music program is
being sponsored by IOC and will be implemented through Memorial’s School of
Music.
