The 2005 Female BLG Finalist played her final game last season, as the Hawks won the National Championships. Last year's Golden Hawk Female Athlete of the Year begins a new challenge as a coach and will focus on physical, mental and goaltending preparation and development. She has worked with Laurier Athletic Therapist, Image 1 from Eadie Joins WomenJamie Carlson, on a very successful summer conditioning program for the Golden Hawks and will be on the ice at most practices for the 2005/06 season. "I'm excited to stay involved with the Golden Hawk program," said Eadie. "I hope to help the athletes now, by giving them some of my playing experiences." Additionally, Cindy will continue to pursue her playing goals by suiting up with the Brampton Thunder of the National Women's Hockey League as well. "With Physical Preparation playing such a pivotal role in the success of our program, I am just delighted to work with Cindy as a coach," said head coach Rick Osborne. "With the departure of Cheryl Pounder to Calgary with the Olympic team, we are replacing one world class Olympic athlete with another, so our program won't skip a beat; Cindy will be a caring mentor to our players on the Golden Hawks". The Golden Hawks open the 2005-06 regular season on the road against the Brock Badgers on October 8th at 6:40 PM. The home-opener is on October 12th vs the Guelph Gryphons at 7:30 PM.
