As members of the educational world, to see any institution become the place of such violence is a terrible thing. On behalf of our University, I want to express my condolences to students, their families and the Dawson College community, and my wish that all who have been injured will have a prompt recovery. I also want to remind students, faculty, and staff that services are available to help them cope with these events or deal with whatever challenges they face in life. Students can contact the Counselling Service of the Student Academic Success Service (SASS) at 613-562-5200 for individual or group support, while the University’s Human Resource Service offers an employee assistance program (EAP) to staff members.
