As reviewed in the Halifax Chronicle Herald, the dark comedy is “...intelligently written, intriguingly staged [and] will leave you thinking long after you leave the theatre.” Clean Slate examines modern family dynamics and the dangerous flexibility of truth. The amnesiac Hannah attempts to reconstruct her past and present identity, but her family sees in her innocence a chance to reinvent themselves and each other. Actor Ian Mullan commented, “If you have ever felt tension with family or a friend, you will appreciate Clean Slate, and leave the theatre thankful that none of the people onstage are characters in your own life.” Clean Slate features Mount A students Sarah Moore, Ian Mullan, Drew Wood, Lindsay Zwicker, and recent graduate Andrew Kerr. The title of “Fringe Hit” puts the show in the top six of the 40+ shows that appeared at the Atlantic Fringe Festival. The director and cast are thrilled to be back at Mount A to perform again, and are very much looking forward to this homecoming of sorts. Tickets for the Friday night show are pay-what-you-can.
