We are delighted to announce a stellar lineup of literary readings by internationally renowned and award-winning authors, including several of Brandon’s own!

All readings are free and open to the public.

Monday, September 25
Poetry Reading by award-winning Métis writer Marilyn Dumont
Location: Room 104 Clark Hall
Time: 3:40 p.m.

Sunday, October 1
Introductory Playwriting Workshop with Tomson Highway
Location: Elephant Room, top floor, Knowles-Douglas Students' Union Building
Time: 10:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m.
Registration Fee: $30.00 for students, $60.00 for non-students.

Thursday, October 12
Book Launch by award-winning Brandon poet Laurie Block, with music by The Errants
Location: Elephant Room, top floor, Knowles-Douglas Students' Union Building
Time: 7:00 p.m.

Friday October 20 and Saturday October 21
Cabaret featuring local and international guest musicians, with Stanley Knowles Distinguished Guest Professor Tomson Highway
Location: Lorne Watson Recital Hall, Queen Elizabeth II School of Music Building
Time: 8:00 p.m. (both nights)
Admission: $10.00 (per night)
Tickets available at the door or through the Brandon University School of Musc Main Office

Saturday, November 11 and Sunday November 12
Two Day Advanced Playwriting Workshop with Tomson Highway
Location: Elephant Room, top floor, Knowles-Douglas Students' Union Building
Time: 10:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m. (both days)
Registration Fee: $150.00, $100.00 for Manitoba Association of Playwrights members.
