MBA student wins national award

MBA student Punit Anand recently won a national award for his research paper Accounting Models for Equity Valuation. The Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators (CICBV), a professional organization that provides expertise in the areas of securities valuation, compliance, disputes and corporate finance, gives the award annually to research it considers exemplary. Mr. Anand’s paper will be distributed to CICBV members and student affiliates for review and use.
This award, which includes a $2,500 grant, will be presented at the CICBV recognition reception and dinner to be held in Toronto on Oct. 18. Dr. Alex Faseruk, a professor of finance in Memorial’s Faculty of Business, who supervised Mr. Anand’s research, will also be attending the recognition reception.
