September 26, 2005 Source: University of Ottawa: http://www.media.uottawa.ca/mediaroom/news_details-e.php?nid=690 School of Management's Gala of Excellence to honor uOttawa alumni OTTAWA, September 26, 2005 — Three distinguished graduates and one close friend of uOttawa's School of Management will be honored this Thursday, September 29th during a special Gala of Excellence. Guy Laflamme, Vice-President, Communications, Marketing and External Relations at the National Capital Commission, and Guy Dupuis, Vice President, Series 7 Development Software Release Support for Cognos Incorporated, will each receive the Trudeau Medal in recognition of their commitment and achievements. Joseph Nour, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Protus IP Solutions, will receive the Young Achiever's Award. This award honors alumni under 40 who have achieved success in a short period of time. Finally, a prize will be awarded to recognize the philanthropic achievements of another alumnus. The Dean's Philos Award, created in 2004, will be awarded to uOttawa Management professor Normand Fortier. Mr. Fortier uses his expertise to help community organizations like the Théâtre du Trillium, the French Language Health Services Network of Eastern Ontario, La Cité collégiale and La Nouvelle Scène.
