Bobcats Men's Volleyball to host Team Canada Alumni

BRANDON, MB – On Sunday October 1, the Bobcat Men’s Volleyball team will continue their exhibition schedule against the Team Canada Master’s Men’s team. Match time is 1:00 p.m. at the BU gymnasium (located at Louise Avenue and 20th Street).

Officially, the "Seventh Legends of Volleyball Tour" will include Brandon University for the first time. The Team Canada Masters team has 18 matches on their schedule for the fall of 2006 versus CIS and College programs across the country.

BU Men's Volleyball Coach Russ Paddock says "the former National / Olympic team players will be great entertainment and bring out the best in our young team. It’s one of those can’t miss events."

Bryan Enns
Position: Left Side/Right Side
Height: 6'5"
National teams: Bryan was on the FISU team in 2001 that represented Canada in Beijing.
Professional: Three years
-Bryan played professionally in Jakarta, Indonesia for 1 year and in Granada, Spain for 2 years in Division 1.
University: Five years at University of Manitoba from 1997-2001.
-CIAU player of the year in 2001.
-The University of Manitoba male athlete of the year in 2000 and 2001.

Jules Martens
Position: Right Side
Height: 6'5"
National Teams: Four years, Senior National Team. Second year 2004 & 2006 Master National Team. Jules won a bronze medal at the Pan Am Games.
Professional: Four years
-Jules played three years in Holland and one year in Brazil.
University: Five years with the University of Manitoba Bisons.
-Jules won two CIS national championships with the Bisons and was a three time All-Canadian (twice on the first team).
