Arthur Irving Academy for the Environment to present performance portraying Rachel Carson "Patron Saint of the Environmental Movement"

(Wolfville, NS) - Acadia University’s Arthur Irving Academy for the Environment will present A Sense of Wonder, a play based on the life and works of Rachel Carson October 18th, 7:30 p.m., Festival Theatre, 504 Main Street, Wolfville.

Rachel Carson has been called the "Patron Saint of the Environmental Movement". She was a marine biologist and zoologist best known for her book Silent Spring, which alerted the world to the dangers of chemical pesticides and launched our modern environmental movement.

A Sense of Wonder is written and performed by Kaiulani Lee. With over thirty years of experience in theater, film and television, Lee has starred in more than a dozen plays on and off Broadway. She has guest starred on numerous television series from The Waltons to Law and Order, and starred as Martha Ballard in the critically acclaimed PBS film A Midwife's Tale.

Advance tickets are available at the Acadia Arena Box Office, or can be purchased at the door. Tickets $5/students, $15/adults.
