SACKVILLE, NB — The Owens Art Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of a studio, a new exhibition of recent works by the faculty of the fine arts department, Mount Allison University. The show will feature works by the studio professors in painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, and printmaking. The opening reception will take place Friday, September 15 at 7:30 p.m. Dr. Robert Campbell, President of Mount Allison University will deliver opening remarks.

The exhibition will provide an important opportunity for the students of Mount Allison University, as well as the greater Sackville community, to see the wide range of work being produced by the current members of the fine arts department. The artists showing are Jeffrey Burns, Erik Edson, Leah Garnett, Richard Hines, Thaddeus Holownia, Kip Jones, Jennifer Macklem, Dan Steeves, and Karen Stentaford.

The opening is part of a Sackville Gallery Crawl, which begins at Fog Forest Gallery at 6:30 p.m., with a reception for Our Place in the Land, a show by Anna Syperek, and ends at Struts Gallery at 8:30 p.m. with an opening of This Burning World, an exhibition of work by Andrea Mortson and a closing reception of Omnipresent Chaos, work by Zach Gough.
