It emerges from a chrysalis attached to the underside of a branch. Its wings are tight against its body. In only an hour, it climbs up onto the branch, unfurls its wings, and takes flight. AND FLY THEY WILL, as once again, the Department of Biology at Carleton University is pleased to bring you the live Annual Butterfly Show from October 1 through 10 including Thanksgiving Monday. The location is in the greenhouses at Carleton’s Nesbitt Biology Building, located at the corner of University Drive and Raven Road. Admission is free (donations are greatly appreciated). You can visit the show from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. daily. Group tours including school tours can be arranged by emailing a request to nmrashed@ccs.carleton.ca - 30 - For more information: Ed Bruggink Manager, Greenhouses Carleton University 520-3513 Lin Moody Media Relations Carleton University (613) 520-2600 ext. 8705
