What do Agricultural Business Students Learn? Agricultural business programs focus on the application of business concepts to the agriculture industry, and as such its students take courses in agricultural marketing and distribution, risk management and financial markets, finance, international business and trade, food safety, world food and international development, economics, and food and agricultural policy. They are often provided with a grounding in agriculture related disciplines such as plant science, animal science, soil science, environmental sciences and crop production. Some institutions offer international options with opportunities for students to minor in the language and culture of a specific region. As with all agriculture programs, there is a strong emphasis on hands-on experience in the industry.
