Prerequisites Needed to Study Building Engineering in Canada
Three post-secondary schools in Canada offer building or architectural engineering programs: BCIT and Thompson Rivers University offer diploma and certificate programs, and Concordia University offers degree programs.
Completion of high school is required for admission to the diploma and certificate programs, with the completion (and an average of at least 60%) of English, Math, and Physics. Upgrading options are usually available for those who have not completed high school or are missing prerequisites.
For Concordia University's undergraduate program in building engineering, completion of high school is required with at least 70%. English, pre-calculus math, and physics are required. The higher your academic marks, the better your chance of admission.
