Digital Art and Animation Topics and Concepts in Canadian Universities
What do Digital Art and Animation Students Learn? Animation students learn the techniques of animation in the media of traditional drawing and painting, film (e.g. stop motion) and computer animation. Courses are designed to build skills relating to elements such as storyboarding, production and postproduction, special effects, sound, layout, 3D modeling and texturing. They learn the essentials of traditional and abstract storytelling, the history of film and animation as media, and take courses reflecting their particular creative interests. Eventually, students become confident with various forms of animation as it is used in the entertainment industry, advertising, communications, and the fine art film.
