What do General Studies students learn?While most students of the arts declare a major in one particular area, there are certain institutions that offer general B.A. degrees. The appeal for students is that they are allowed a great deal of freedom in designing a program that meets their own individualized interests and goals. Regardless of the courses chosen, all students of liberal arts programs learn to think critically, to make sound judgments based on evidence and facts, to present arguments logically, and to communicate effectively in both written and oral form.
