Shelter of Hope Animal Services is operated by Hamilton Township in partnership with three municipal partners.
The shelter services the Town of Cobourg, the Municipality of Port Hope (Wards 1 and 2), Hamilton Township and Alnwick / Haldimand Township with animal pick up and adoption services. Animal Services program is governed by a Joint Animal Services Board of Management comprised of one Council representative from each municipality.
