What services does your organization provide?
CASI Osoyoos provides:

  • Transportation in a wheelchair accessible van
  • Companionship
  • Referral Service
  • Volunteer Income Tax E-filing

CASI Osoyoos offers services for seniors that are full-time or part-time residents that live within Osoyoos or RDOS-A.


Do you have any age requirements?
Basic Information Required:

  • Volunteer Application
  • Personal Interview
  • CASI Volunteer Training
  • Criminal Record Check
  • Signed Confidentiality Agreement
  • 2 references - (either letter of reference or phone interview)

Volunteer Van Drivers:
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Class IV (restricted)
  • Medical may be required (deemed by your doctor)
  • Driver's Abstract

CASI reimburses volunteers for the cost of acquiring a Class IV license or increased liability insurance through ICBC.

Do you require language proficiency other than in English?
No.


What time commitment(s) are you expecting from a volunteer?
We appreciate whatever time you can give.


Are there any specific skills and experience required?
No experience required, just time, a great attitude and a genuine interest in the well being of seniors.


What type of volunteer positions are typically available?
Volunteers are needed for driving, companionship, special events, fundraising and light office duties. CASI provides training and support for our volunteers.


Do you provide training for volunteers?
Yes - CASI has a 2 part volunteer program.
