Canadian Blood Services manages the Blood Supply in Canada.


Do you have any age requirements?
Minimum age is 18 as we are seeking those candidates interested in assisting us with Donor Recruitment.


Do you require language proficiency other than in English?
Based on location


What time commitment(s) are you expecting from a volunteer?
Time Commitment is based on availability, on average 3 hours a week. Should the volunteer wish to be involved in organizing numerous events those hours would increase.


Are there any other requirements for being a volunteer?
Seeking a passionate individual who will assist us over the summer.


Are there any specific skills and experience required?
Donor Recruitment would require an outgoing individual who is interested in sales, marketing and public relations.

Do you provide training for volunteers?
Yes, we offer all volunteers orientation, occupational health & safety training and specific training based on the iniatitive.


What are the typical volunteer activities occurring at your organization?
We have volunteers working at our clinics at the refreshment area. Volunteers are currently being recruited for Sign Me Up Events over the summer. Volunteers also work at the Whats Your Type (Blood Typing Events) and at One Match Events.


How will a person benefit from volunteering with Canadian Blood Services Ontario?
The greatest benefit of all will be the fact that the volunteer has assisted in saving lives of Canadians by recruiting blood donors we are able to help countless Canadians who need blood or blood products.


Do you accept high school students?
Yes we would accept High School Students to work on the Sign Me Up Events.
