Admin Assistant: Flexible. On Call. As arranged. A few hours a month for 6 months to 1 year +
Disaster Management: 1 week/month for 1-2 years+

Do you provide training for volunteers?
Yes, training is provided. Volunteers are required to successfully complete two online courses: 1) Introduction to the Red Cross & Red Crescent Movement, and 2) Introduction to Volunteerism.
Successful completion of First Aid training is required.
Training is also provided for: AODA and WHMIS
More training may be required for specific programs.


What are the typical volunteer activities occurring at your organization?
Most volunteer opportunities at the branch involve either, responding to calls from individuals who have experience a personal disaster and providing them with basic needs such as food, shelter and clothing, or office/admin duties including customer service, donation receipting, events preparation, data entry, faxing, computer, etc., or public outreach and special events.


How will a person benefit from volunteering with Canadian Red Cross Society Brockville and District Branch?
Volunteers will gain or further develop several skills, including customer service, communications, computer, financial, marketing, organizational, and client relations skills. Volunteers of the Disaster Management program will develop delegation skills, client relations, teamwork, leadership and listening skills. Volunteers will be able to enhance their resumes, gain and develop skills, and earn a strong reference.
