Do you have any age requirements?
Minimum age requirement is 16


Do you require language proficiency other than in English?
Since our organization serve many individuals that speak languages other than english ( such as tamil, urdu, spanish, chinese), we are always welcoming volunteers that speak more than one languages


What time commitment(s) are you expecting from a volunteer?
We are flexible in terms of the hours they want to do. As long as they can give a consistent commitment to the work and hours they want to volunteer it is quite flexible.


Are there any other requirements for being a volunteer?
Police Reference Check : No criminal record


Are there any specific skills and experience required?
It is always good to take in people that have experience working in the social service field. However we are open to geting people that have specific skills such as media, arts, writting and translation


What type of volunteer positions are typically available?
Volunteer positions are ongoing. Currently we are looking for volunteers for the upcoming march break programs. WE look for volunteers that are interested in helping out with youth groups or for admin purposes


Is there any training provided for volunteers?
Yes, Volunteers attend an orientation about the agency and get a volunteer protocol booklet and need to sign confidentiality forms

It is a great exposure to the social service sector, they gain interpersonal skills, leadership skills and admin skilsl that they can take with them at school and in future employment

Yes, we are always welcoming students to come help and gain their hours at school
