Ladysmith Little Theatre is a community theatre in Ladysmith BC dedicated to providing high-quality productions. The theatre's successes - sold-out shows, community outreach and regional awards - have been achieved thanks to the dedication and enthusiasm of many volunteers. All positions at the theatre are volunteer (actors, production team, administrators and board members). All volunteers receive personal training for the specific position and complimentary attendance to shows.

What services does your organization provide?
We perform five to six plays each year, with 60 - 80 performances in total.


Do you have any age requirements?
Actors - depends on role, as young as 5 years
Other roles - 12 years or older


Do you require language proficiency other than in English?
No


What time commitment(s) are you expecting from a volunteer?
We have many options available from on-going (a few hours a month), to per production (one to three month commitment, or per show (one performance commitment, evening or matinee). See volunteer positions below for more information

No, all training provided. Actors will need to audition

Do you provide training for volunteers?
Yes - personal training for each role provided by experienced volunteers. Training for technical roles (sound, lighting, producers, stage managers) is provided through workshops, apprenticeships, and on-line programs.
