Let's Art is a (new) small community based business that works with youth, including programs for kids with disabilities.
The core values are helping youth explore the inner emotion through art.
Let's Art is new to the community and we trying to establish our selves by helping families with after school programs, PD day programs and spring and summer camps.

Volunteer Information for Let's Art

What services does your organization provide?
Dance therapy, clay for kids (sculpture), drawing, crafts and easy to follow painting and drawing skill development.


Do you have any age requirements?
We are looking for someone between 19 and 80 years of age


Do you require language proficiency other than in English?
Our primary language is Spanish, but our students speak many languages.
Our business operates in English, and we are looking for volunteers who are strong in both written and spoken English


What time commitment(s) are you expecting from a volunteer?
This is open to the avalibilty of the individual, but we will need mornings (9am to 12pm) and in the afternoon / early evenings between 4pm and 8pm.


Are there any other requirements for being a volunteer?
Just having fun, but some creativity


Are there any specific skills and experience required?
communication, working with kids, computer skills and people skills.
Art skills would be a great asset


What type of volunteer positions are typically available?
Working with youth in everything from clay to dancing. Some administartion work may be needed


Do you provide training for volunteers?
None is required


What are the typical volunteer activities occurring at your organization?
Computer work (e-mails, letter writing)
Assistant in active classes (clay, plasticine, crafts)
Dance and play development


How will a person benefit from volunteering with Let's Art?
Learning communications skills
Learing coping skills while working with youth with special needs
Making a difference in the lives of young people


Do you accept high school students?
This will depend on the skill set and maturity / responsibility of the individual
