Do you have any age requirements?
No minimum age however parental approval is needed for anyone under the age of 18.


Do you require language proficiency other than in English?
Additional languages are not needed but could be helpful


What time commitment(s) are you expecting from a volunteer?
Depending on the volunteer position, one year committment is usually expected.


Are there any other requirements for being a volunteer?
Any volunteer over the age of 18 will need to have a police check done as well as all volunteers will need three references that are over 18, have known the applicant for over two years who are not related to them.


Are there any specific skills and experience required?
Depending on the volunteer position some skills and experience might be required.


What type of volunteer positions are typically available?
Volunteers assist with Meal Programs, Reception, Early Years Centres, Friendly Visiting, Youth Centres, and Income Tax Program.


Is there any training provided for volunteers?
Training is done for each volunteer position and varies depending on the program.


What are the typical volunteer activities occurring at your organization?
Activities vary from answering phones, delivering meals, serving meals and clean up, visiting, doing income tax forms, mentoring, helping with children, surveys amoung others.


How will a person benefit from volunteering with Links2Care?
Volunteers benefit by getting experience in different areas, having the satisfaction of helping others, and being able to try different things.
