Volunteer Information for Mississauga Celebration Square

What services does your organization provide?
Canada Day 2015 is shaping up to be one of our best events yet with amazing musical performers, tasty food, and roaming entertainers. We have many enjoyable volunteer positions available this year, and it will be a great opportunity for volunteers to gain experience, make new friends, give back to the community, and have fun!


Do you have any age requirements?
Volunteers must be 16 years or older as of July 1st, 2015.


What time commitment(s) are you expecting from a volunteer?
Volunteers must be available for one training shift on a date to be determined and for one shift on July 1st, 2015 at the Canada Day event. The total volunteer time will be approximately ten hours. A Volunteer Hours Confirmation Letter will also be provided upon completion.


Are there any specific skills and experience required?
Our volunteers should be friendly, reliable, punctual and energetic! No specific experience is required.


What type of volunteer positions are typically available?
We have many volunteer roles available including: VIP Assistants, Entertainment Operations Centre Assistants, Logistics Assistants, Take Down Assistants, Entertainment Assistants, Canada Day Ambassadors, Photography Assistants, Volunteer Retreat Assistants, Research Collection Assistants


Do you provide training for volunteers?
There will be a training session the week before Canada Day. It will be approximately three hours, and will provide the volunteers with all the information that they will need for the event. These hours will be counted toward the total volunteer hours completed.


How will a person benefit from volunteering with Mississauga Celebration Square?
Volunteers will develop customer service skills, communication skills, time management skills,organizational skills. They will also have fun, gain experience, and meet great new people!

We happily accept high school students!
