What services does your organization provide?
We are a museum with free admission.
We have a province-wide education program that is offered free of charge.


Do you have any age requirements?
16


Do you require language proficiency other than in English?
No


What time commitment(s) are you expecting from a volunteer?
Minimum of 8hrs/month


Are there any other requirements for being a volunteer?
A Criminal Record check/Child Offenders Check is required - $25 (we will reimbursed if the volunteer if a receipt is provided)

What type of volunteer positions are typically available?
Event Supervisor
The Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to act as event hosts. Hosts will supervise the Hall of Fame when it is open during Metro Centre events (hockey games, basketball games, concerts, etc.)


Do you provide training for volunteers?
Yes. How to open, close and supervise the facility.


What are the typical volunteer activities occurring at your organization?
Opening and closing facility.
Greeting visitors.
Answering visitors questions.
Supervising sport simulator.

Excellent supervising experience.
Access to arena events.
