What services does your organization provide?
We operate through four key ministries:

  • Youth Justice Services
  • Youth Employment Services
  • Youth Addiction Services
  • Community Support Services


Do you have any age requirements?
Youth Volunteers 14-17
Adult Volunteers 18+


Do you require language proficiency other than in English?
No.


What time commitment(s) are you expecting from a volunteer?
Normal initial time committment is 1 shift (3-4 hours) per week for 13 weeks.


Are there any other requirements for being a volunteer?
All volunteers submit a completed Volunteer Application form (available online at our website); some of the volunteer positions at Ray of Hope may require PRC with vulnerable sector screening, and references.


Are there any specific skills and experience required?
No.


What type of volunteer positions are typically available?
7 days a week - 365 days a year - We never close. Therefore we are always in need of volunteers who can fill a variety of positions with varying time commitments.

Is there any training provided for volunteers?
Yes.
Site orientation, plus task specific training for all volunteers.
Longer term volunteers offered regular additional training opportunities.

Social service functions.
