What services does your organization provide?

  • Outreach
  • Training and Employment Preparation
  • Life Skills Training
  • Intensive Meetings, Group/Peer/Personal Counselling using the 12 Step Model of Recovery.
  • Outreach/Information/Referral Services
  • Men's Residential Facility in Newmarket ON: 90 Day Program.


Do you have any age requirements?
19 and preferrably some experience with Addiction
(i.e. recovering addict themselves/have a family member/have worked in field/etc.)


Do you require language proficiency other than in English?
No.


What time commitment(s) are you expecting from a volunteer?
Negotiable


Are there any other requirements for being a volunteer?
Must be prepared for Criminal Check (Vulnerable Sector Important) and Drug Test.
These will not necessarily be required But must be compliant if.


Are there any specific skills and experience required?
Not really...any transferrable skill can be an asset.


What type of volunteer positions are typically available?
Assistant positions to Administration/Counselling/Community Liaisons


Is there any training provided for volunteers?
Training provided for special projects that require an improved skill: Computer Upgrade skills are most common.

Personal Growth through the challenging work with early recovering addicts/alcoholics.


Do you accept high school students?
CS Hours are an exception to our 19+ age rule above. We do make provision for same but CS hours must be linked to Addiction Issue e.g. the most common are Marijuana Use or Theft to Support Drug Use.
