What services does your organization provide?
Our volunteers help support the runners on course by providing water, keeping the course clear, and informing the public of the event.


Do you have any age requirements?
Course marshals must be over 18 years old, all other volunteer positions have no age requirements.


Do you require language proficiency other than in English?
No additional requirements.


What time commitment(s) are you expecting from a volunteer?
2-5 hours on Sunday, June 22, depending upon your position.


Are there any other requirements for being a volunteer?
No


Are there any specific skills and experience required?
No specific skills required.


What type of volunteer positions are typically available?
We have plenty of positions available, including:


- Water Station Attendant
- Gear Check Crew
- Setup Crew
- Course Marshal


Do you provide training for volunteers?
On site training will be provided by your captain.


What are the typical volunteer activities occurring at your organization?
Check in with your captain and then have fun supporting the runners!


How will a person benefit from volunteering with Scotiabank Vancouver Half Marathon?
This is a great chance to be part of a City-wide community event while supporting local charities. You will be able to work with many other great volunteers and crew members throughout the event, plus all volunteers receive an event t-shirt.
