What services does your organization provide?
As the largest juried festival in Canada featuring predominantly New Canadian plays, SummerWorks looks to program a festival that uniquely reflects Toronto and Canada's cultural zeitgeist.


Do you have any age requirements?
Volunteers should be a minimum age of 16 years old.


What time commitment(s) are you expecting from a volunteer?
Volunteers are required to do a minimum of 4 shifts over a 10 day span.


Are there any other requirements for being a volunteer?
Great attitude and people skills!


Are there any specific skills and experience required?
Volunteers should be able to communicate in English, enjoy working with people in an outdoor setting and feel comfortable working with money.


What type of volunteer positions are typically available?
Most tasks are front of house roles, although we also have some roles at indie music events and working with performance artists.


Is there any training provided for volunteers?
There are several training sessions to familiarize volunteers with the venues, roles, and working with people with disabilities.


What are the typical volunteer activities occurring at your organization?
Volunteers typically sell tickets and rip tickets at the door.


How will a person benefit from volunteering with Summerworks Theatre Festival?
Volunteers will receive a t-shirt as well as earn tickets to see shows. There will also be a volunteer appreciation event with food.
