Institution Profile

Arcada Polytechnic offers courses in media, technology, business, rehabilitation, administration and tourism, care, and social services. There is an increasing demand of multi-skilled professionals in the market and the university sees to it that the students utilize the best of their potentials.

Degree Programs
Arcada Polytechnic offers graduation in Plastics Technology, which offers practical knowledge as well as skills required in plastic industry. The students undertaking such program have polished management as well as engineering skills and are able to choose, design, and carry out cost effective production processes. Students get a chance to select two electives, which are free, in areas of private entrepreneurship and innovations, language, and business administration.

International business program offers bachelor’s degree in business administration. Students are required to undergo work-placements for several months in companies located in Finland and outside. The exchange program allows students to take up study for one whole year outside Finland, at one of the University’s partner institutions.

Collaboration with Indian Universities
Arcada Polytechnic has signed an international co-operation agreement, which is the first of its kind, with two Indian Universities. They are Jaypee Education System and Jaipuria Institute of Management, situated in Noida, India. The idea behind the agreement is exchange of students and staff, common research projects, sharing of information as well as publications with each other, and expansion of common degree and study program modules.
