The TAMK University of Applied Sciences is based in Finland and offers a range of study programs that are focused on trade and industry. The university is also involved with a number of international partnerships, with over thirty countries across Europe, Asia, the Americas and Africa. International students are also welcome to study and the university itself has competed in a number of international conferences and competitions. The university operates two campuses.

There are currently sixteen bachelor degree courses available at TAMK University of Applied Sciences, out of which, degrees in environmental engineering and international business are available in English. The other areas of study are fine arts & media, technology and business economics. There are also six master's degree programs, out of which, the degree in information technology is available in English.

The TAMK University of Applied Sciences currently has 5000 students enrolled and 400 full time members of staff. The university is also home to the Teacher Education Center, which offers post graduate courses in Finnish. A number of non degree programs for subjects like, interactive media are also available in English. The university also offers a range of adult education and further education courses. The adult education programs are mainly post-degree specialization courses, offered on a part time basis. Further education courses are available to anyone under Open Polytechnic Courses. Classes are usually held in the evenings of over the weekends- during the summer vacation time, they are held during the day.
