Institution Profile

Located in Turku in Finland, the Turku University of Applied Sciences offers courses in the fields of the arts, health care, life science & business, technology, environment & business, telecommunication & business as well as well being services. The university is also involved in a number of research projects and activities, in collaboration with the local community as well as industry.

There are ten campuses in the Turku University of Applied Sciences at Parainen, Uusikaupunki, Loimaa, Salo, Turku Sepänkatu 1-2, Turku Ruiskatu 8, Turku Linnankatu 54-60, Turku Lemminkäisenkatu 30 and Turku Joukahaisenkatu 3. The university offers a range of degree courses at the graduate and postgraduate level, most of which are taught in Finnish medium. There are three bachelor programs currently offered in English for information technology, international business and nursing. Open studies courses and a range of continuing education courses are also available and are planned in partnership with the student's needs. Specialization study programs are also available for professionals, who would like to update their skills.

The Turku University of Applied Sciences offers career services for both students and employers- students are given personal advice on career planning, while employers can take part in recruitment drives and post information about job openings. The university also has a language center, which offers training in international communication and other aspects of language and communication. A university library is also available for student access and contains digital and print resources.
