Institution ProfileØstfold University College comprises of six faculties, the Faculties of Business, Languages and Social Sciences, Computer Sciences, Education, Engineering, Health and Social Studies and the Norwegian Theatre Academy. The institution is an active participant of international student exchange programs such as Erasmus and Nordplus programs and has established relationships with several leading international educational institutions. Students can seek admission through the Norwegian Quota Program too. The institution has adopted the ECTS grading system and offers a welcoming atmosphere to international students. The students are also offered work placement which is supervised in English to add to their experience.
Østfold University College offers students a chance to get personalized attention on account of its small class size and friendly environment. Students have the liberty to tailor their education and get the qualifications that they desire. Students are able to secure accommodation easily at the university and each room has internet access. Students can take up programs in International Business, Business and Communication, Computer Science, Drama for Teachers, English for teachers, Industrial design, and clinical studies. The Bachelor's programs can be completed in 3 years and comprises of 180 credits. The Master's programs can be completed in about 2 years comprising of 120 ECTS.
Østfold University College has four faculty libraries that are well stocked with books and journals. A majority of the programs are taught in Norwegian while some programs are available with English, French and German as the medium of instruction.
