Suki's Advanced Hair Academy
Profile of Career College/Trade School
Sukis Advanced School Of Hairdressing is located in South Granville in the city of Vancouver in Canada. It is a private career college offering training courses in makeup and beauty care. It was established in 1972 by a Japanese hairdresser, Suki Takagi. Originally a one-room salon, today Sukiís has five salons.
The school has international students from a variety of cultures. Students at Sukiís are taught the latest cutting styles and hair coloring techniques. After the basic training course and apprenticeship, each student of Sukiís goes through an exclusive twelve-week advanced cutting course at Suki's Advanced School of Hairdressing.
Other than hairdressing, students are also trained in other procedures like waxing, facial, manicure, pedicure, makeup, body painting, and massages. They also learn to communicate with customers and apply beauty treatments like dermascope skin analysis, gem stone therapy, illuminating eye therapy, spa jet body envelopments, and lymphatic drainage massage. The school has facilities like spas, infrared sauna, and alchemy steam rooms as well as the latest hairdressing and body care equipment for students to practice with.
Students who graduate from Sukiís Advanced School of Hairdressing are usually employed as hairstylists, assistant technicians, salon coordinators, color technicians, massage therapists, estheticians, or nail technicians, either at Sukiís Salons or other places. The School is also a member of Intercoiffure, a reputed beauty organization.
