Overview

SaskPower is currently searching for a Manager, Construction Lines. The individual in this position is responsible for overseeing the construction management of transmission line capital projects. This includes the leadership and direction of contracted inspection services and contracted construction services engaged in building the capital projects designed by the SaskPower's engineering groups. As a member of SaskPower's management team, the individual in this position will maximizing the performance and engagement of employees and contractors ensuring alignment with both departmental and corporate goals and objectives.


Experience and Qualifications

Successful applicants will have a university degree in electrical engineering, an Interprovincial Journeyperson Lineperson Certificate, or a diploma in electrical engineering technology, must be eligible for related professional designation or certification and possess 7 years related transmission (72 KV or greater) utility experience. Our ideal candidate will have strong communication, problem solving and decision making skills; and, the ability to lead and direct employees in a changing environment. A project management professional (PMP) designation would be considered an asset.
