Assistant Metallurgist - Starkey & Associates Inc.

Overview

Starkey & Associates Inc. is a leader in the mineral processing industry and the name behind some of the largest grinding design and process engineering projects in the mining industry today. S & A provides the patented SAGDesign Test for ore hardness characterization and also offers consulting services for metallurgical test work programs, plant start-ups, grinding circuit design, concentrator design, and reviewing existing operations for companies. The Metallurgist will be directly involved with this SAGDesign grinding mill design program.

Responsibilities

Shall include, but not limited to: Supervision of laboratory metallurgical test programs, Prepare grinding mill design spreadsheets and final grinding reports, Assist team members with other projects.

Experience and Qualifications

Shall include but not limited to: Registered as EIT with PEO or eligible to do so, Basic Knowledge of comminution and beneficiation concepts, Good planning and communication skills, both written and oral, Competer skills, programming skills an asset (Excel, Matlab, other), Use of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
