Remembrance Day service on Saturday

November 10, 2006

Some may wear a poppy as a sign of respect for those who lost their lives in the fight for freedom. Others wear a poppy as a sign of Remembrance so they may never forget.

Remembrance Day Ceremonies will be taking place around the world on Saturday, Nov. 11.

The Office of Alumni Advancement would like to invite all students, faculty and staff to a special McMaster University Remembrance Day Ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 11 from 10:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. in Convocation Hall, University Hall, Room 213.

Please join us to honour those members of McMaster University who gave their lives for us in World War I and World War II.

They shall not grow old, as we are left to grow old,

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn,

At the going down of the sun and in the morning,

We will remember them. We will remember them.

--Laurence Binyon
