The 2006 BUSU/ACCSA Halloween Food Drive campus club competition

October 18, 2006

Calling all Brandon University campus clubs - your group could win up to
$250.00 by trick or treating for non-perishable food items as part of this
year's BUSU/ACCSA Halloween Food Drive!

Here's how it works:

1. Email BUSU Student Services Coordinator Kyle Lougheed at or call Kyle at (204) 727-7478 and confirm that your
club wishes to participate in the Food Drive.

2. Indicate how many people will be participating in your group.

3. Stop by the BUSU office between Oct. 25 and Oct. 30 and obtain your
colour-coded map, containing the area of Brandon your club can canvas for
non-perishable food items.

4. Check in at the BUSU booth in the Mingling Area on Oct. 31 between 5:00
p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to obtain your materials and start trick or treating!

Deadline for participation is Wed. Oct. 25th. The Food Drive is open to all
Brandon University and Assiniboine Community College campus clubs and
student organizations to compete in. All food collected is weighed by BUSU
volunteers and totals are determined on a per capita basis. The clubs that
bring in the greatest weights of food per capita will win $250, $150, and
$100 grand prizes from BUSU!

Sign up for the food drive today and trick or treat for a great cause with
your friends between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on Halloween. Last year's food
drive raised over 4,000 lbs. of food, and BU will also be competing with ACC
campus-to-campus to see which school can collect the greatest amount of food
for their respective food banks!

For more information, contact the BUSU office at (204) 727-9660.
