37th Annual Dance Montage
The University of Calgary Faculty of Kinesiology and Faculty of Fine Arts Program of Dance are excited to present the 37th Dance Montage from Thursday, November 23rd to Saturday, November 25th, 2006 at the University Theatre.
Originating in 1969, Dance Montage has grown from a showcase for Physical Education students’ work into an annual community dance event not to be missed. Dance Montage integrates beginner dancers and choreographers with experienced professionals while facilitating the creation of new work ranging from the highly humorous and physically exuberant, to thoughtful explorations of living in a moving body.
With 10 choreographers and 100 dancers in the cast, this annual event is an event not to miss! This eclectic evening of dance will include Jazz, Comedy, Theatrical, Lyrical Blues, Ballet, Contemporary, Interpretive, Ballroom, African, Latin and Hip Hop.
Dance Montage 2006 celebrates Dance this year by presenting the work of local choreographers including: Annalisa Bentzen, Lisa Ryan, Michèle Moss, Michelle Malmberg, Matthew Popoff, Sung-Ah Choi, Arlene Mack, Jamie Hawke, Julie England, and Angie Hung & Lorissa Chan.
Tickets for this popular performance are regularly SOLD OUT. Please call early to avoid disappointment. Tickets are available through Campus Ticket Centre at 220-7202.
