Alumni Associations New Partners in Excellence Initiative

The Wilfrid Laurier University Alumni Association's (WLUAA) new Partners in Excellence program offers support for student initiatives.

Students can apply individually or as part of a team, for monetary support to help them participate in extra-curricular activities - which are not part of their current course requirements - and directly or indirectly benefit the student community.

Proposals must be submitted to the Alumni Relations Office located in Alumni Hall by October 31. Students, alumni, or faculty (on behalf of students) are eligible to apply. Proposals must be no more than 2 pages and should include the following:

1. Title of Project

2. Project Coordinator - The Project Coordinator is the person responsible for directing the project

and has fiscal accountability for the project.

3. Impact to the Laurier Student Community - Describe how the project benefits - either directly

or indirectly - the student community.

4. Budget Details - Provide a proposed budget for the project. Applicants should be very specific as

to how the funding will be allocated.

5. Partners in Excellence Funding Requested - Indicate the amount that you are requesting.

Funding for the Partners in Excellence initiative is designated from affinity revenues and set aside to financially assist applicants whose requests meet with the program parameters. To view a list of our affinity partners and learn more about alumni benefits, click here.

Successful applicants will be required to submit a final summary report. All questions regarding submissions should be directed to the Alumni Relations Office at 884-0710 ext. 3180.
