Lansbridge University Purchases Downtown Campus

Fredericton, New Brunswick – Canada's premiere online university for MBA and eMBA degrees has purchased a building at 415 King Street in downtown Fredericton to serve as its administrative and campus facilities. The 21,879 sq. ft. brick office building is comprised of 3 floors and is located across from Kings Place and diagonal from City Hall.

Lansbridge University's President, Dr. Michael Lo, Mrs. Queenie Tin, and Vice President, Stanley Chan flew in from Vancouver to cut the ribbon on the new university building. They are the principals in Kingston Education Group and Learnsoft Corporation, a publicly traded Canadian Corporation, which own Lansbridge University.

States Dr. Lo, "This is a red letter day in the development of Lansbridge University and our commitment to providing a world-class business education. We are extremely gratified with the cooperation and support the University has received from the New Brunswick development, education and business communities. Our investment in a downtown campus in Fredericton further signifies the Kingston Education Group's dedication to the mission of growing Lansbridge University, which in turn will contribute to the management capacity of Atlantic Canada. We have great confidence in the ability of Lansbridge University's academic and administrative staff and anticipate that this expanded work space will be required to support our increasing admissions and future International class offerings."

Lansbridge University's curriculum and operations have been extensively reviewed and approved by the New Brunswick Department of Education. Lansbridge University is also the only degree-granting eLearning university in Canada accredited by the Distance Education Training Council in Washington, D.C. (DETC). The DETC (see www.detc.org) is the leading international institution for distance learning accreditation and best practices training. DETC Accreditation is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

Lansbridge University began to operate classes in 2000 and the inaugural class was matriculated in 2002. The university has awarded 195 MBA and eMBA (executive MBA) degrees and currently has more than 300 students enrolled.

Notes Manager of Operations, Amanda McCluskey, "We are pleased with our new offices as they provide a convenient downtown location for administration, online operations, and future resident classrooms, as well as accessibility to key provincial offices and the business community."
