Earlier known as Southeastern Paralegal Institute, the Southeastern Career Institute was established in Nashville, Tennessee in the year 1981. The Institute in Dallas was started in 1987 in order to cater to the growing demand for paralegals needed in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Denver Paralegal Institute Acquisition Corporation was the former owner of Southeastern Career Institute located in Dallas. This corporation was a subsidiary of Denver Paralegal Institute, Ltd and wholly owned by it. The paralegal studies program of this institute has achieved the approval of the American Bar Association in the year 1979. This is the only program that has gained ABA’s approval in Dallas. The Southeastern Career Institute also has a branch campus in the Midland city of Texas. This branch came into being in October 2003.
