Program Details

The Paralegal Studies Program at the Southwest Tennessee Community College is an Associate of Applied Science Degree curriculum available in four concentrations viz., Real Estate, Corporate & Banking, Litigation and General Concentration. The course content varies with the concentration opted. For instance, the Real Estate Concentration has courses like Real Estate Law and Contract Law or Probate Law. The Corporate & Banking Concentration’s course content includes Corporate Law. Torts and Criminal law & Procedures or Evidence are a part of Litigation Concentration and the General module includes various courses of which three must be completed.

An enrolment in the above-mentioned concentrations also renders an opportunity to the qualified lot to be a part of internship programs or co-op schedules. The Cooperative Education or the Co-op pattern of learning combines both theoretical and practical aspects of teaching.
