Prerequisites Needed to Study Journalism in Canada

Most journalism programs have limited enrolment, and some require students to maintain a high GPA in order to stay in the program as they progress through university. Depending on the program (e.g. if it is slanted toward computer-based technology), certain specific skills may be required, but all prospective journalism students are required to have well-developed communication skills. They may be required to take writing tests or submit samples of written work with their applications.
