What services does your organization provide?
Provide services that support people with a developmental disability, so they may pursue individual goals and membership in the community. That all people live in a state of dignity share in all elements of living in the community and have the opportunity to participate effectively.


Do you have any age requirements?
Typically, minimum age requirement for volunteering is 15 years of age. However we have facilitated volunteer opportunities for those under the age of 15. (Grade 9 students ages 13/14)


Do you require language proficiency other than in English?
None


What time commitment(s) are you expecting from a volunteer?
Morning, afternoon and evening.
Can choose whichever works best for them.


Are there any other requirements for being a volunteer?
Must be personable, outgoing and patient


Are there any specific skills and experience required?


What type of volunteer positions are typically available?
We welcome volunteers to assist with one of our Recreation and Leisure Programs or with one of our Livingston Resource Classes.

We also have volunteer opportunities in our Community Day Programs such as the Hopkins Centre Day Program , the Bartlett Packaging Centre and Natural Abilities Store.

Volunteer options in our Children and Family Services Program include helping out in the Weekend Respite Program or with one of our After School Programs.

In our 24 Hour Residential Program and our Supported Independent Living Program we have numerous volunteer opportunities to work one on one or in a group setting.

We also have numerous administration positions for which we welcome volunteers. These include typing, filing, data entry, collating materials, archiving, reception duties


Is there any training provided for volunteers?
Agency orientation (mandatory), site training based on where the individual chooses to be placed.
