Do you have any age requirements?
We accept youth and adult volunteers alike, though youth are limited to positions rated basic to minimal levels of trust.

Do you require language proficiency other than in English?
English is the only language required.

What time commitment(s) are you expecting from a volunteer?
Time commitment varies based on the volunteer position

Are there any other requirements for being a volunteer?
Volunteers are expected to participate in screening based on the Level of Trust of the position they are seeking to be involved in.

Are there any specific skills and experience required?
All of our volunteer positions provide adequate orientation and depending on the position type may require specialized skills or characteristics.

Is there any training provided for volunteers?
All orientation and training is based on the specific volunteer position and unique to the program it is affiliated with.

What are the typical volunteer activities occurring at your organization?
We have many programs and special events requiring volunteer involvement.

How will a person benefit from volunteering with Elmwood Community Resource Centre and Area Association?
Our volunteers can benefit by being provided with professional references and opportunities for skill building to help strengthen a volunteer's resume. We also provide opportunities for field experience for education requirements. Volunteering is also a great way to connect with our community, having one's voice heard in how our organization contributes to it.

Do you accept high school students?
We do accept and welcome all students to contribute and volunteer with our organization.
