Established in 2004 The Friends of the Trail Inc. (FOTT) is a registered not-for-profit charitable organization dedicated to the promotion, protection and preservation of the Lower Trent Trail as a four season, non-motorized recreational trail.
The Friends of the Trail Inc. has a management agreement with the Province of Ontario to develop and manage a non-motorized, recreational trail on the former rail bed. FOTT has more than 100 members who actively support the vision, mission and goals for the Lower Trent Trail.
