Counselling - Serving Individuals, Couples and Families of Central Alberta

Preventative Community Education


Do you have any age requirements?
We utilize volunteers from a wide range:
Board Committees (Site & Facilities, Community Relations)- Adult
Fundraising Events - Youth and Adul
Gardening - Youth and Adul
Mailout Preparation - Youth and Adult


Do you require language proficiency other than in English?
Typically English only


What time commitment(s) are you expecting from a volunteer?
As available with the exception of Board Committees. Board committees have regular meetings.


Are there any other requirements for being a volunteer?
Commitment to Shalom's mission and values.
Signature of confidentiality commitment.
For those involved in client related activities - police security (vulnerable sector) and child welfare check


Are there any specific skills and experience required?
Specific skills and experience required for Board Committees only. All other volunteer opportunities open.
